Pingback: New RESOURCE Page Added to the VFA Site | Visionary Fiction Alliance
As a ‘first step’, it’s great to have these resources listed, but unfortunately I think they will be helpful only to those living in the USA. The cost (Marketing and Publicity, e.g.) of the 30 minute ‘free’ telephone consultation would be prohibitive for us in the UK/Europe or Australia. It would be nice if others could add to the list. The Agents also cover US regions but if we are based elsewhere, we need agents who have their reach nearer our home base. Can anyone perhaps come up with suggestions for the UK market?

If you can use Skype, the call is free! A wonderful thing!

Thanks Peggy, I did think of Skype myself, but try as I might, I could only find one way of making contact on that site and that was on a USA phone number. To arrange to Skype there needs to be a way to contact the person first. Even getting around that, all the targets she offers to hit with publicity are in the USA. I suppose if that highlights and sells your books, that would be OK. But I’d still like to get them marketed here at home as well.

This Resources list is a great idea, yet I feel it is still very limited. I am about to recommend an editor who has worked for me. He is extremely literate, with wide experience of world-class writers from many different genre, as well as being a talented poet himself. He is UK based, but all is possible with the www and the internet. (Plus Skype, as has been suggested already, if one need to discuss/ communicate face to face.)

I’d like to see places where we can advertise our books ourselves such as sites or email marketers. There have to be a few.
